Study on a thorough treatment of organic compounds in the polluted environment is always a prime concern of each country. In this study, silver nano doped on TiO2 (Ag nano/TiO2) samples with different initial Ag concentrations in the range of 0.5‐3 % were synthesized by electron beam irradiation method. The synthesized Ag nano/TiO2 material was characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and Brunauer‐Emmett‐Teller measurement (BET). The size of Ag nanoparticles was in the range of 2 ‐ 30 nm. The photocatalytic activity of Ag nano/TiO2 materials with different initial Ag contents for Rhodamine B (RhB) decomposition was also investigated. The photocatalytic efficiency of RhB degradation by Ag nano/TiO2 material was higher than that of TiO2 about 33% after 2.5 hours under visible light irradiation.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
