Cetuximab (EGFR-targeted IgG1 monoclonal antibody) has shown to improve the treatment outcomes in head and neck cancer. The evidence on the beneficial outcomes of cetuximab with radiotherapy (RT) in unresectable patients of locally advanced squamous cell carcinoma of head and neck (LA-SCCHN) is limited in real-life practice. The present study evaluated the treatment outcomes of cetuximab concurrent with RT in Indian patients with unresectable LA-SCCHN. We retrospectively reviewed fifty-one patients with unresectable LA-SCCHN between January 2013 and December 2017, who were treated with cetuximab concurrently with RT. Tumor response and disease-free survival (DFS) were estimated. Tumor response using RECIST (1.1) criteria reported complete response in 66.7%, partial response in 31.4% and progressive disease in 1.9% of the patients. The overall response rate was 98%. The 1-year and 2-year DFS was 85% and 69% respectively. The median DFS was significantly better in stage 3 than stage 4. The most common toxicity observed was mucositis and skin reactions (grade 3). Cetuximab concurrent with RT was effective in Indian patients with unresectable, LA-SCCHN and had an acceptable toxicity profile in real-life practice. The real-life beneficial evidence of the combination is consistent with the results documented in the randomized controlled trials.
Optimum plant population is pre requisite obtain higher seed production and productivity of soybean. In this study soybean variety RSC 1046 was recorded significant higher plant population, Plant height, number of branches plant -1 dry matter accumulation plant -1 , Leaf area index plant -1 and seed yield. Crop geometry was recorded significant maximum plant population and plant height in 45×5, number of branches plant -1 and dry matter accumulation plant -1 in 45×10 leaf area index plant -1 in 45×5 and seed yield in 45×10. Interaction effect in seed yield was recorded between variety and crop geometry (cm). RSC 1046 and 45×10 show significant higher seed yield. Relationship between plant population and seed yield (kg ha -1 ) was linear with performance maximum in variety RSC 1046 and crop geometry (cm) 45×10. That results shows optimum plant population due to variety and crop geometry produce higher pre harvest parameters and yield soybean planted in ridge and furrow system. Economic as a basic effect on farmer economy due to cost of cultivation, gross return, net return and net return per rupee investment. This research was recorded varieties cost of cultivation is same but crop geometry this are changed. Higher cost of cultivation in crop geometry 45×5 and lowest in 45×30. There was gross return, net return and net return per rupee investment higher in variety RSC 1046 and lowest in CG Soya 1. Crop geometry was recorded highest gross return, net return and net return per rupee investment in 45×10 and lowest in 45×30. Economics feasibilities are important to farmer economic condition due to adopt farming system.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
