Lampropidae is a relatively small family, comprised of about 100 species in 13 genera, and is generally found in colder, deeper waters (Gerken, 2010). Among the genera, Lamprops Sars, 1863 is represented by 23 species worldwide (WoRMS, 2014). The diagnostic characteristics of the genus Lamprops are as follows: 1) carapace with definite antennal notch; 2) pleon without pleopods; 3) telson with more than three terminal setae (Given, 1964;Gamô, 1967). In the present paper, two newly recorded species belonging to the genus Lamprops were described and illustrated, based on samples collected from the East Sea (Sea of Japan) in Korea. Lamprops carinatus Hart, 1930 and L. pseudosarsi Tsareva andVassilenko, 1993. To date, only one species belonging to the family Lampropidae, Hemilamprops californicus Zimmer, 1936 was provided from Korea (Lee and Lee, 1998). Therefore, this represents the first record on the genus Lamprops from Korea. New information on the mouthparts of these species is also provided, and the male of L. pseudosarsi is described for the first time on the basis of the specimen from Korean waters. Keys to the Korean genera of the Lampropidae and species of Lamprops are also given. The terminology of the setae follows that used by Watling (1989) and Gerken (2010, 2013.
The new species, Nannastacus leeae sp. nov. and the newly recorded species, Nannastacus spinulosus Gamô, 1962 are described and illustrated. This new species resembles Nannastacus inconstans Hale, 1945, N. nyctagineus Gamô, 1962, and N. pectinatus Gamô, 1962 in having numerous minute granules on pereon and pleon. However, the new species is distinguished from its congeners by having several rows of large spatulate tubercles on carapace. The specimens of Nannastacus spinulosus herein studied coincided well with the descriptions given by Gamô, 1962. A key to the Korean species of Nannastacus is provided.
The new species, Cumella levitergus sp. nov., and the newly recorded species, Cumella arguta Gamô, 1962 are described andillustrated. Cumella scabera Gamô, 1962 is proposed as a synonym of C. arguta in this study. Cumella levitergus is obviouslydistinguished from other known species of Cumella by the combination of the following features: 1) the carapace surface is pit-ted, and has abundant minute alveolate sculpturing, which is round and tightly arranged; 2) the dorsomedian carina is obsoleteand not decorated; 3) the flagellum of the male antenna 2 does not extend past the posterior border of the pleonite 4; 4) the car-pus of pereopod 1 has 3 setae on the inner margin; 5) the carpus of pereopod 2 is shorter than the length of the dactylus; 6) the uropod exopod is 0.65 times as long as the exopod. A key to the Korean Cumella species is also given.Key words: Taxonomy, Cumacea, Nannastacidae, Cumella, new species, synonym, Korea
