This paper is aimed to investigate the influence of dual-mass flywheel (DMF) kinetic parameters on driveline torsional vibration in engine start-up process, which prescribes the design requirements under start-up condition for DMF matching. On the basis of driveline excitation analysis during engine start-up, the analytical model of DMF driveline torsional vibration system is built and simulated. The vehicle start-up test is conducted and compared with the simulation results. On account of the partial nonstationary characteristic of driveline during start-up, the start-up process is separated into 3 phases for discussing the influence of DMF rotary inertia ratio, hysteresis torque, and nonlinear torsional stiffness on attenuation effect. The test and simulation results show that the DMF undergoes severe oscillation when driveline passes through resonance zone, and the research model is verified to be valid. The DMF design requirements under start-up condition are obtained: the appropriate rotary inertia ratio (the 1st flywheel rotary inertia-to-the 2nd flywheel rotary inertia ratio) is 0.7∼1.1; the interval of DMF small torsion angle should be designed as being with small damping, while large damping is demanded in the interval of large torsion angle; DMF should be equipped with low torsional stiffness when working in start-up process.
This paper presents a novel algorithm to deal with dynamic multiobjective optimization problems, in which the objective functions change over time. The algorithm adopts the decomposition framework to decompose the multiobjective optimization problems into a number of scalar optimization subproblems. For each subproblem, its respective solutions obtained in several former consecutive environments can form a moving trajectory over time. A shift vector guided prediction model is proposed, which samples three intermediately previous solutions of each subproblem to construct two shift vectors. The shift vectors use the weighted summation to generate a new shift vector as the forthcoming motion of the target solution. Then a new location in the later environment is estimated based on the current location and the newly generated shift vector. When detecting an environmental change, the multiobjective evolutionary algorithm based on decomposition will update the population using the predicted solutions by the proposed model. Empirical results demonstrate that our proposed algorithm is effective in tracking dynamic optimal solutions and shows great superiority comparing with state-of-the-art methods.
This paper proposes a new transmission scheme of hydromechanical continuously variable transmission (HMCVT) for tractors. The HMCVT has 4 working ranges in each of the front and rear directions. The speed characteristic and the torque characteristic of HMCVT are theoretically derived. On the basis of HMCVT power flow direction, the Крейнeс formula is used to calculate the transmission efficiency. Then, the image analysis method is used to study the influence of parameters on the transmission efficiency of HMCVT, and the main influencing factors are found. The results of theoretical derivation demonstrate that, by coordinating control of the HST displacement ratio and the engagement conditions of shifting clutches, the stepless speed regulation of HMCVT at the tractor speed of 0–50 km/h can be realized. The proposed HMCVT has the ability to continuously transmit and change torque over all working ranges. The overall transmission efficiency of HMCVT is at a high level. To verify the theoretical derivation, Amesim simulation software is used for the modeling and simulation of HMCVT. The simulation results are consistent with the theoretical analysis results. Therefore, the HMCVT proposed in this paper has the advantages of compact structure and high transmission efficiency, and it is suitable for matching tractors.
