This paper presents measured performance and interference data for PCS1900 and UMTS in a co-site (co-located) outdoor environment. The investigation was done using a typical co-site measurement scenario. In the scenario, the PCS1900 and WCDMA BS systems were co-located at the same site and the corresponding devices were seperated from each other. The results show that with 5MHz spectrum isolation and careful planning, both systems can co-exist in a co-site environment and the experienced performance degradations can be kept to a reasonable level.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
