Cultivated strawberry, one of the major fruit crops worldwide, is an evergreen plant with shallow root system, and thus sensitive to environmental changes, including drought stress. To investigate the effect of 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA), a new environment-friendly plant growth regulator, on strawberry drought tolerance and its possible mechanisms, we treated strawberry (Fragaria × annanasa Duch. cv. 'Benihoppe') with 15% polyethylene glycol 6000 to simulate osmotic stress with or without 10 mg l −1 ALA. We found that ALA significantly alleviated PEG-inhibited plant growth and improved water absorption and xylem sap flux, indicating ALA mitigates the adverse effect of osmotic stress on strawberry plants. Gas exchange and chlorophyll fluorescence analysis showed that ALA mitigated PEG-induced decreases of P n , G s , T r , P n /C i , photosystem I and II reaction center activities, electron transport activity, and photosynthetic performance indexes. Equally important, ALA promoted PEG-increased antioxidant enzyme activities and repressed PEG-increased malondialdehyde and superoxide anion in both leaves and roots. Specially, ALA repressed H 2 O 2 increase in leaves, but stimulated it in roots. Furthermore, ALA repressed abscisic acid (ABA) biosynthesis and signaling gene expressions in leaves, but promoted those in roots. In addition, ALA blocked PEG-downregulated expressions of plasmalemma and tonoplast aquaporin genes PIP and TIP in both leaves and roots. Taken together, ALA effectively enhances strawberry drought tolerance and the mechanism is related to the improvement of water absorption and conductivity. The tissue-specific responses of ABA biosynthesis, ABA signaling, and H 2 O 2 accumulation to ALA in leaves and roots play key roles in ALA-improved strawberry tolerance to osmotic stress.
The integration of Web and GIS Technology brings quick development of WebGIS. WebGIS changed the old way of spatial data acquisition, transmission, sharing and development, became to be an important development direction in GIS area. To solve the problem of low responding rate and poor performance, a new development model integrated Ajax and Silverlight is proposed. Ajax Silverlight WebGIS platform is constructed by using the latest development model, which can be used to shorten responding time between client and server-side, to reduce the volume of data transmission of networks, and to increase rich multi-media effect, thus the ability of WebGIS is greatly expanded.
In order to detect the status of power equipment from infrared transmission line images under the spatial positioning relationship of the transmission line equipment, such as corridor, substation equipment, and facilities, this paper presents an improved PCNN model which merges an optimized parameter setting method. In this PCNN model, the original iteration mechanism is abandoned, and instead, the thresholding model is built by the maximum similarity thresholding rule. To ensure similarity during classifying neighboring neurons into cluster centers, a local clustering strategy is used for setting the linking coefficient, thus improving the efficiency of the method to detect the power equipment in infrared transmission line images. Finally, experimental results on transmission line infrared images show that the proposed method can provide the basis for the diagnosis of power equipment, preventing the casualties and property damage caused by the thermal damage of power equipment, and effectively improving the safety risk identification and operation control ability of power grid engineering.
It's a common technology to query and paginate in WEB information system. In traditional method, it usually paginates in client or WEB terminal. But if we need operate massive data, traditional methods will have many defects, such as high maintenance cost, low query efficiency. The experiment results indicate that optimization algorithm of pagination based on stored procedure combining Ajax [1] technology can not only improve query efficiency of data in massive data pagination, but also implement asynchronous data transfer between client and server. The method can reduce network bottleneck considerably so that information can be display without loading interface again, user's waiting time can be decreased, and network loads can be lightened greatly.
