A fast-response polymer-stabilized BPIII device without memory effect and hysteresis effect is demonstrated in this study. The structure of BPIII is stabilized in a wide temperature range more than 10C by polymer network. By adopting in-plane switch, the bright and dark states can be switched reversely in ~0.9 ms. Compared with the other two cubic blue phases, the polymerstabilized-BPIII possesses a great potential for application on fast display.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
