The development of the Internet and communication technology has revolutionarily changed the education contents and methods. Various governments and people with vision have promoted education to the highlight to determine the future of citizens in a nation.A teacher has to develop more creative teaching methods to teach newgeneration students. Past research proved that cultivating students' creative thinking could significantly affect students' creativity and learning achievement. The approach of web-based era revolutionarily changed the media of creative thinking teaching. Applying design of experiment to the quasi-experimental research, total 186 universities and collegestudents in Taiwan are preceded a 4-month teaching program in this study. The research findings show 1.positively remarkable effects of web-based creative thinking teaching on creativity, 2.positively notable effects of creativity on learning outcome, and 3.positively significant effects of web-based creative thinking teaching on learning outcome. At the end, suggestions for teachers' teaching methods are proposed, expecting to make up the theories related to web-based creative thinking teaching.
This study uses means-end chain (MEC) techniques to examine the awareness, decision-making procedure, and personal values of the elderly with regard to virtual reality leisure activities. The results of the study show that elderly respondents value virtual reality leisure activities that are fun, safe, and easy. In terms of outcome benefits, elderly respondents value feeling physically and mentally healthy, firsthand experience, and satisfied curiosity. In value terms, elderly respondents hope that their chosen virtual reality leisure activities improve not only their relationships with others, but also their enjoyment, quality of life, and sense of belonging. The results show that, while consumers with different awarenesses of virtual reality leisure activities have different decision-making processes, they share creating “good memories” as the terminal value with the most significant effect. This presents a potential opportunity to promote virtual reality leisure activities. Relevant bodies or enterprises can seek to create good memories in consumers by developing activities that are safe and fun, promote good health, and provide good service, thereby attracting the interest of elderly consumers.
Max chart uses a single chart to control the process mean and variance. It performs with similar efficiency to joint X and s charts. This study combined adaptive chart and Max chart to increase the detecting ability. A Markov chain approach was used to develop the statistical indicator and statistical design model of adaptive Max charts. This study designed adaptive Max charts to detect the mean shift and variance increase, and measured their performance for comparison with EWMA, CUSUM, and double-sampling charts. A comparison study revealed that the adaptive Max charts with variable parameter exhibited superior performance to detect the small shift than that of EWMA, CUSUM, and double sampling charts. IntroductionStatistical process control is an effective method for improving the quality and productivity of a firm. The primary tool of statistical process control is the statistical control chart. For a manufacturing process, the mean and variance must be monitored jointly to ensure high-quality yields. Joint Shewhart X and R (or s) control charts were used to control process mean and variance for more than half a century. Although the joint Shewhart X and R (or s) control chart is popular in real-world industry, they have a considerable imperfection in tardy signal for small shift.Costa [4][5][6] proposed a fully adaptive X and R charts. The adaptive control charts are similar to the Shewhart-type X and R charts, and include several types, such as variable sample size (VSS), variable sampling interval (VSI), variable sample size and sampling interval (VSSI), and variable parameters (VP) [15][16][17][18]. Costa [5] indicated that VP X and R charts exhibited superior efficiency than other adaptive X and R charts. The development of VP X and R charts successfully improved the efficiency of Shewhart X and R charts in the detection of small shift. When the VP X and R charts are used, the sample mean and range are plotted on the X chart and the R chart, respectively. Both X and R charts can be divided into three regions, as follows: central, warning, and action regions. When X and R fall in the central region, the next sampling uses smaller sample size, wider limit, and longer sampling interval to control
Since its implementation in 2001, the Mini Three Links (MTL) has become the most important transportation means for Taiwanese travelling to China. The MTL is connected to recreation/travel in Kinmen: service providers often include short local trips as part of the transit process. This study focuses on the concept of travel-transportation involvement in the MTL, exploring its effects on consumers' travel-transportation dependence, identity, loyalty, price sensitivity, and product purchase intention. Traveltransportation involvement is divided into behavioural involvement and socialpsychological involvement, which in turn considers attraction, self-expression, and centrality to lifestyle. Survey respondents are passengers using the MTL service at Kinmen Shangyi Airport and Shuitou Port. Structural equation modelling is used to analyse the 380 valid questionnaires; results show that different involvement dimensions have unique effects. Behavioural involvement positively affects price sensitivity. Attraction positively affects travel-transportation dependence, which further improves travel -transportation identity. Attraction also has indirect negative effects on loyalty and price sensitivity, which are mediated by its impact on travel-transportation dependence and identity. Further, centrality to lifestyle negatively affects product purchase intention during the travel process. Self-expression has a direct positive effect on travel -transportation dependence and loyalty, but a direct negative effect on price sensitivity. Finally, self-expression has indirect negative effects on loyalty and price sensitivity; the mediation process is identical to that for attraction. This study is valuable in terms of distinguishing between various effects among previously overlooked dimensions of travel -transportation involvement; it also provides practical implications for related travel -transportation-service practitioners and tourism development within Kinmen.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
