Recently, the liquid crystal displays (LCD) have been expected to replace the old cathode‐ray‐tube (CRTs) as a medical display for diagnosis and fine clinics. We have developed the super fine medical display of 20.8″ QXGA(2048×1536) by true black (TB) advanced fringe field switching (AFFS) technology with an unlimited viewing angle and true black uniformity. New TB medical device have shown the brightness over 800nits, contrast ratio over 800:1, dark level under 1nit and viewing angle over 178/178, respectively.
