Integrated inventory management coordinates all party's replenishment policies to provide optimal benefits. Many models have been developed, but none of them have considered capital and warehouse constraints comprehensively. It may cause the model which cannot be applied, since it has exceeded the capacity. This study developed an integrated inventory model that consisted of one vendor, multi-buyer, and one type of item. The main objective was to minimize the joint total expected cost by considering warehouse, capital, and service level constraint. The optimal formula was constructed by using the Lagrange multipliers method. The results showed that with an increment in holding cost, the vendor tends to reduce lot size to minimize joint total expected cost. It is vice versa to the increment in set up cost. An increment in buyer service level can increase lot size and reduce order frequency. The buyer capacity is essential to determine its capability to apply the optimal replenishment policy.
This article discusses a mathematical inventory model that involves expiration date and all-unit discount factor. This model assumes that demand is deterministic and depends to inventory level, deteriorating rate as a function of time and with no lead time. This model is more realistic compared to previous research on deterministic inventory model with constant deterioration rate and no quantity discount. Using this model, we will determine the optimum order quantity (economic order quantity) and the optimum ordering time that minimizes the total annual cost. The algorithm for determination of the optimum solution is also developed and a numerical example as an illustration of the inventory problems is given. Determination of the optimal solution is conducted with the help of MAPLE software. The simulation shows that the deteriorating rate and demand rate are inversely proportional to the optimum ordering time and optimum order quantity. Keywords: Inventory, expiration date, all unit discount.
This research explores some potential factors that affect the continuance intention of a mobile payment service. The trend of mobile payment services has been increasing since the last few years. The advancing technology of the internet and smartphone has been a supporting environment for the growth of this method. Many similar mobile payment services are offered in the community which results in a highly competitive business condition. The business owner who has put a high investment in this business will surely want to keep it running and even grow their product. Therefore, some knowledge of factors that can significantly promote the sustained use of their product to customers will be imperative. In this research, some existing models on the general repurchase intention concept and users’ continuance intention will be combined and tested to figure out some influential aspects to continuance intention concept. Seven factors are hypothesized to have direct and indirect effects. Data from 193 respondents are gathered and the results of the tested model shows perceived quality, perceived value, and brand preference subsequently influence the continuance intention. Further analysis is also conducted in this research to explain the relationship between factors as well as analysis of current mobile payment providers.
