We report on a study of a miniaturized laser module suitable for embedded projection with the flying spot approach. The module comprises RGB lasers, a closely connected laser driver ASIC and optical components. Key aspects of our studies are light output and color mixing stability as well as transient performance of the module.
We report on an intra image frame approach for controlling output power and mixed color of RGB lasers. Lasers, laser driving and laser control electronics as well as beam shaping and beam combination optics are components of a miniaturized module which is intended to be utilized in flying spot approach based mobile projectors. Key advantage of the introduced module concept is color stability across the whole image and the disappearance of flickering calibration lines at the top or at the bottom of the projected image.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
