The vapor pressures of the aqueous desiccants lithium chloride, lithium bromide, calcium chloride, ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, and their mixtures were measured at their typical operating concentrations and at temperatures from 298 K to 313 K. The experimental data were fitted to an Antoine type of equation, ln[P(kPa)] ) A -B/[T(K) + C], where A, B, and C are constants and are concentration dependent. Vapor pressure data were further used to predict the effectiveness of dehumidification in liquid desiccant dehumidifiers.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
