It aims to provide comprehensive coverage of recently published British books and periodical articles. It also includes an extensive selection of material published in France and the United States provided by our foreign correspondents. The arrangement and format closely follows that of previous years, cross-references are provided where necessary, and there is an index of towns on p. 442.
