In this paper we will study the structure of algebras A(Γ ) associated to two directed, layered graphs Γ . These are algebras associated with Hasse graphs of n-gons and the algebras Q n related to pseudoroots of noncommutative polynomials. We will find the filtration preserving automorphism group of these algebras and then we will find the multiplicities of the irreducible representations of Aut( A(Γ )) acting on the homogeneous components of A(Γ ) and A(Γ ) ! .
This book draws on the authors' first-hand experience, and it is difficult to find another book that gives as good an overview on the current state of affairs regarding the global and electronic nature of manufacturing and business today. This book is intended for industrial practitioners, however researchers interested in the organizational aspects may gain insights into real issues in electronic commerce (EC) faced by industry at the present time. The book provides a foundation for understanding various topics related to EC and also a useful perspective on the experiences of companies that have utilized EC. It also brings attention to the impact of both the psychological and social aspects of electronic commerce, such as trust in system security and the changes in social interaction between participants in electronic auctions. The book is organized into twelve chapters and includes several extensive industrial case studies. Some topics that may be of interest to Human Factors and Ergonomics in Manufacturing readers include supply chain management, telecommunications infrastructure, access to electronic commerce, digital storefronts, digital payments, logistics, and successful E-commerce. A detailed overview of issues and concepts related to the topic of each chapter is provided along with a historical perspective on how each issue came into its current state of being. Relevant case studies are provided in most chapters to illustrate and expand on the fundamentals described throughout the chapter. The case studies usually include heavy emphasis on the Asian branch of the multinational corporations described. Chapter 6 and the related case studies, which describe the development and history of Internet service providers in Hong Kong and China, provide a good explanation for the origins of the Internet, and terminology to familiarize those who are unfamiliar with the technical details. The chapters and cases include a good history of many topics that may be of interest to practicing ergonomists and researchers. The book is already in its second printing. The case studies (most are not published elsewhere) give insights into what is needed in industry and how researchers may approach current problems. The chapters on telecommunication infrastructure and access to EC provide models and results that can be of value to researchers and practitioners alike. However, this book is weak in literature support, and though 'theory' is included in the title, both the book and the research area are
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
