In Romania, there are major deficiencies in the understanding and especially in the ecological application of tourism, the problem of its unconsciousness and the lack of awareness of the population on this coordinate, which is why people do not realize its intrinsic value for the economy at present, but especially for the future. Each of us should “taste” nature, because living directly in nature, even for a few days, helps to see life in more optimistic colors, breathe better, think more freely, smile more, more credence and courage every second. This article highlighted the importance of sustainable tourism and ecotourism in the Danube Delta, which is an impressive tourist destination, a true paradise for tourists wishing to discover wildlife, a real challenge for nature lovers and maritime beauty region tourism, but also a real scientific interest. The effects of the globalization process have been also noticed at tourism industry level, fact which had generated a series of changes both in production area and even more in the tourism services consume area. Emphasis will be placed on the interdependence links between the development of ecotourism and globalization in the world, which will also contribute to its socio-economic consequences. The strategic options will take into account the impact of the globalization process applied to the case study of the Danube Delta.
Nowadays, creative economies stand as a relevant indicator of the sustainable development of local and regional ones. The study aims to highlight the spatial behaviour of creative economies in the Bucharest‒Ilfov Development Region, the most dynamic and complex regional economy in Romania. In order to assess the spatial dynamics of creative economies in the region, an economic database was created, at the level of the territorial administrative unit, for the two economic indicators considered important for the study, number of employees and turnover, under the auspices of the Classification of National Economy Activities (NACE). The establishment of creative economies was made following the Government Decision no. 859 of 2014, with 66 codes for this sector. Annual cartographic models were developed for each indicator in QGIS (a free and open–source cross–platform desktop geographic information system application that supports viewing, editing, and analysis of geospatial data), for the period 2000–2016. For a relevant analysis of spatial behaviour, we used Sholl and Kolmogorov complexity, which highlighted specific patterns of spatial dynamics that help us to understand the role of creative economies in the sustainable development of regional economies. The results highlighted the role of accessibility corridors in the development of the regional economy.
The identification of the areas vulnerable to flash floods is one of the greatest challenges in flood risk management for both the scientific world and decisionmakers. Its importance is underlined by the European Directive 2007/60/EC, which sets out the general framework of public policies to reduce the impacts of floods on the development of local communities. This research was conducted in the Moldova river catchment, located in the northern part of Romania, in the Carpathian Mountains, where half of the administrative-territorial units record floods annually. The methodology used the Flash Flood Potential Index (FFPI) which has been computed based on the correlation of various factors which have a direct impact on the surface runoff. Each geographical factor has been represented on a 30 m grid and the data aggregation has provided the spatial hazard model for floods. In addition, the impact of deforestation on flood events was also analysed. The result of the FFPI was compared with the official flood records of the local authorities from our study area. The results constitute a methodological instrument, complementary to the classical ones, for the elaboration of the flood hazard maps, with a special importance given to the modelling of this type of hazard in the area with no structural defence measures.
Without any doubt, beyond humanitarian consequences, Russia's war in Ukraine will have economic implications, some of which we can already see, others will be more obvious soon. The most important effect is on energy and food prices. Energy security remains the "Achilles' heel" of the European economy, given its heavy dependence on Russian energy imports. In this article, we will analyse, among other implications, what is probable to happen in the commodity trading markets and who are the winners and losers from this difficult situation. We will also have a look at capital flows, what are the perspectives of emerging markets from the area. Another aspect taken into consideration is consumer and business confidence, because, despite significant savings accumulated during the pandemic, there will be an important change from the consumer side, which will nevertheless affect the GDP growth. Given the fact that this is an ongoing event, some of the conclusions may be different at the time of presentation.

In this environment, a private business must follow current trends by seeking continual quality improvement of its operations to prevent stagnation. The goal of this research is to examine the organizational culture of Romanian private-sector businesses, as this is a unique feature that, if not managed effectively, can have a detrimental impact on a company's quality and competitiveness. The tool used for this research to diagnose the dominant direction of Romania’s private companies was the Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI). Results indicated that employees would prefera clan culture, more specifically, a place where people share the same values, and loyalty and traditions are key fora friendly work environment.
