RESUMENEl propósito del presente trabajo se centra en el estudio de un conjunto de palabras relevantes en los trastornos alimentarios con respecto a su carga semántica y otros índices más formales, tales como la frecuencia de uso y familiaridad. Estos datos son imprescindibles para poder elegir otro conjunto de palabras que no tengan relación con esas categorías semánticas, pero con similares características con respecto a los índices antes mencionados, para que puedan ser consideradas apropiadamente como controles. Así, en el Estudio 1, treinta sujetos evaluaron la pertenencia de un conjunto de palabras a las categorías de comida y cuerpo, mientras que en el Estudio 2 se analizó la frecuencia de uso y la familiaridad de las palabras seleccionadas en una muestra de cien sujetos. Igualmente, también se aplicaron estos índices a una serie de vocablos con los mismos trigramas que parte de nuestras palabras de estudio, con el fin de confirmar que éstas no son las de mayor frecuencia en nuestro Idioma, requisito imprescindible para realizar una tarea basada en trigramas.Tener datos acerca de estos índices se convierte en un requisito necesario para poder llevar a cabe tareas experimentales basadas en material estimular con significado. Desgraciadamente en nuestro idioma contamos con muy pocos trabajos que hayan analizado estos temas. ABSTRACTThe present work focuses on the study about a group of relevant words in eating disorders with respect to their semantic content and other formal Índices, such as word frecuency and familiarity. These data are essential for choosing other set of v/ords which have no relationship with those semantic categories, but with similar characteristics regarding the Índices mentioned above, in order to properly be considered as control words. So, in the Study 1 thirty subjects rated the belonging of a set of words to food and body categories, whilst Study 2 analyzed word frecuency and familiarity of our selected words in a sample of one-hundred subjects. Besides, we carried out the analysis of some words that shared their same 3-letter stems that part of the words used in our study. This procedure was aimed to probé that in our ianguage there is at least one other word higher in word frecuency. This is imperative in tasks based on 3-letter word stems.Having data about these índices becomes a necessary requirement for carrying out experimental tasks based on meaningful stimuli material. Unfortunately, in our Ianguage there are few works that had analized these topics. This study purports to contribute to fill up this gap.
