The present guideline for cell therapy is safe and shows efficacy in patients with SCI, mainly in recovery of sphincter dysfunction, neuropathic pain and sensitivity.

All of the previously reported cases of spinal intradural extramedullary ependymomas carried out a benign course. The case we are reporting is the first one in which malignant transformation occurred. This tumor should be taken into account in the differential diagnosis of intradural extramedullary lesions. Moreover, close follow-up is recommended for this unusual location of ependymomas.

We report a mass in the left cerebral hemisphere of a 20-year-old man. Histological, ultrastructural and immunohistochemical features of the tumour were consistent with primary malignant rhabdoid tumour. The age of presentation, imaging features prior to histological examination, and prognosis in this case were unusual.
