An Efficient Homogeneous Catalytic Enantioselective Synthesis of α-Amino Acid Derivatives.-The enantioselective alkylation of the benzophenone imine (I) derived from glycine tert-butyl ester is accomplished with alkyl halides (II) and a non-ionic phosphazane base in the presence of a chiral quaternary ammonium catalyst derived from cinchona alkaloids. -(O'DONNELL, M.
