SUMMARYMicrowave ovens for home use generate microwaves with a magnetron. Since the magnetron is a diode vacuum tube with a nonlinear load characteristic, the power supply current is distorted. A scheme is used for control of the inverter power supply to drive the magnetron so that the class A standard value of the guideline for home and general-purpose harmonic prevention is met. In this paper, a control method is reported that simultaneously provides harmonic suppression of the inverter power supply using a voltage resonant circuit and the zero voltage switching.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
