Nasal obstruction due to deviated nasal septum is a common problem encountered by otolaryngologists. A variety of surgical procedures have been tried in the treatment of the same. This study was conducted to evaluate the outcomes and complications of endoscopic and conventional septoplasty. This is a prospective, randomized study. Fifty patients with symptomatic deviated nasal septum were included in the study, 25 of them underwent conventional septoplasty and the rest underwent endoscopic septoplasty. The difference in the functional outcome of both the surgeries was insignificant. There was a significant difference with respect to complications. Endoscopic septoplasty had better outcome with respect to complications. It is easier to correct posterior deviations and isolated spurs with endoscopic septoplasty. Complications are lesser with endoscopic septoplasty.
Nevus sebaceus of Jadassohn is a congenital tumour affecting the scalp and face. It is usually presented as a pigmented patch or plaque. It is a complex cutaneous hamartoma which involves pilosebaceous follicle, epidermis and adnexal structures. Tumours that arise from nevus sebaceous are basal cell carcinoma, syringocystadenoma papilliferum, trichoblastoma and hidradenoma. The progression and frequency of the tumour increase with the age. Here we present a case of pigmented trichoblastoma over the external nose. It was a case of an elderly woman presenting with a painless swelling over the external nose which was soft, non-tender and with well defined margins.
Lipomas in the submandibular space are uncommon. This report describes a case of lipoma in the submandibular space. The clinical features, imaging study, histopathological features and management of the tumor are described.

Background: Epidermoids are ectoderm lined inclusion cysts which can be present anywhere in the body, but are rare in head and neck. Although only 7% of the dermoid cysts occur in head and neck region they are a part of differential diagnosis of neck swellings. They are more common in midline. This study presents to you the dermoids which present in unusual sites.

Methods: It was a descriptive study. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
