The authors have prepared the 1 : 1 adducts between ‐AgClO4, and the hydrocarbons benzene, toluene and m‐xylene. The electronic absorption spectra of their solutions in the corresponding hydrocarbon exhibit each an absorption band between 2770 Å and 2900 Å. The same bands are found in solutions of AgClO4,in the hydrocarbons mentioned and in mesitylene.
X 73)Summary. Temporal chemical oscillations occurring in the BrO&e4+/acetylacetone system have been investigated by three different methods : potentiometry, calorimetry and NMR. spectrometry. In spite of the analogy between acetylacetone and malonic acid, this periodic reaction seems to be rather different from the famous BeEousov-Zhabotinsky reaction.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
