Relevance. The importance of studying and analyzing contribution of occupational risk factors in musculoskeletal disorders among emergency medical personnel is related to high disease incidence rates and work specifics. The objective of our research envisaged formalization of information obtained for the analysis and assessment of occupational risks of developing musculoskeletal and connective tissue disorders in ambulance personnel. Results. According to professional medical examination results, musculoskeletal and connective tissue disorders ranked second among all diagnosed diseases. The relative risk of developing those disorders was 70% indicating the link between them and transport vibration (category 1) affecting the backbone during long trips in ambulance cars.
This paper focuses on the impact of working conditions of tractor operators on the development of
occupational vertebral lumbar-sacral pathology. Clinical and progression specificities of occupational
vertebral lumbar-sacral pathology in agricultural tractor operators are presented in there paper. The
development of the pathology is related to hazardous occupational factors including general and local
vibration, dynamic and static physical loads, incorrect body posture at work, cooling microclimate.
One of the many professional groups employed in many sectors of the economy is truck drivers, whose work is characterized by a complex of adverse production factors, of which physical activity, vibration, adverse microclimate, intensity of work, as a rule, are the main reasons for the formation of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, including vertebrogenic pathology. According to the results of a polyclinic examination of male truck drivers employed at industrial enterprises of the Republic of Bashkortostan, 73.8 % have vertebral diseases of the cervical spine (cervicalgia/cervicobrachialgia) and 89.2 %. — of the lumbosacral one (lumbalgia/ lumbar ischialgia, radiculopathy). An increase in the length of service negatively affects the course of the disease, leading to an increase in the neurological deficit from the reflex stage in the group of people with a work experience of up to 9 years to the compression-radicular stage with an experience of more than 20 years. The data presented indicate the need to develop a set of targeted measures of sanitary-hygienic and medical-rehabilitation nature.
We studied the functional state of the neuro-muscular area – the lumbar and sacral part of the backbone
in tractor operators using the stimulating electroneuromyography (SENMG) metod. Analysis of
bioelectric activity of muscules and peripheral nerves was done. The electroneuromyographic changes
revealed that functional motor-neuron inhibition is due to reflectory disorders. It has been shown that
there is a relationship between vertebral pathology of the lumbar-sacral area and length of work.
