Increasing concern is being i out the loss of forest land to non-forest uses, and the need to conserve the forest land base, -•' the high capability forest land wh^. accessible. This study of the Canada Land Use Monitoring Program outlines a methodology used to examine land-u :e on forest land in the Prince George area of B.C. between 1965 and 1981. Study results reveal that during this time period, built-up and improved agricultural land uses increased substantially in area on high capability forest land.
