Interaction of 1-Butene and n-Butane with a Sulfate-Promoted IronOxide.-Preadsorption of butane does not change the decomposition of SO2-4-Fe2O3 significantly. It is desorbed above 320 K. The formation of SO2 and O2 at 700 K is very similar in both cases. In contrast, in the presence of preadsorbed 1-butene CH4, SO2, and CO2 but no H2S are found as major components in the complicated decomposition. The 1-butene promoted process is complete at 650 K (IR, temp.-programmed desorption/reaction). -(LEE, J. S.; YEOM, M. H.; PARK, D. S.; J.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
