There was analyzed the situation of natural focal infections, the pathogens of which are associated with bats and modern ideas about the possible epizootic and epidemic importance of bats, as well as the prospects of ongoing epizootiological monitoring under epidemiological supervision in the Russian Federation. There were stated the main tasks of the organization of observations of the representatives of Chiroptera order – the possible reservoir hosts and/or sources of dangerous for human pathogens.
