Approximately 48 medical institutions in South Korea own and
use blood irradiators; however, the quality control of blood
irradiators is insufficient. This study was conducted to establish
quality control procedures for blood irradiators using an alanine
dosimeter and to ensure reliability of dosimetry. For dosimetry
using alanine dosimeters, measurements were performed using an
alanine dosimeter jig developed in this study to ensure dose
delivery system reliability. Furthermore, the dose and dose
distribution were verified, and the uncertainty was evaluated.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
