Mazu belief was recognized by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as the Intangible cultural heritage of Humanity in 2009, which is China’s first world-class folklore intangible cultural heritage. More than 5000 Mazu temples and 200 million tourists who believe in Mazu can be found worldwide. The aim of the study was to take Meizhou Island as a case study to understand the relationships among tourists’ perceived value, place attachment, and revisit intention. In total, 424 tourists in Meizhou Island were surveyed and structural equation modeling was performed to test such relationships. Results show that tourists’ perceived value has a significant positive impact on place attachment (p < 0.05), which in turn has a significant positive impact on revisit intention (p < 0.05). The results of bootstrap test show that the confidence intervals are (0.001, 0.328), (0.147, 0.425), (0.058, 0.396), (0.092, 0.408), respectively, which do not contain 0. Therefore, place attachment acts as a complete intermediary in the relationship between tourism resources and service value, social value, cost value, and revisit intention. The confidence interval of the direct effect of cultural value and revisit intention is (0.193, 0.501), which does not contain 0, indicating that place attachment acts as a partial mediator in the relationship between cultural value and revisit intention. Findings of this study would be of use to readers of cultural tourism.
Low carbon economy is full of significance to realize sustainable development of a city. After making a review of global low carbon community construction by summarizing their features and routes, the authors set up a low-carbon economical evaluation system which consists of 3 layers, 3 systems and 14 indicators. What's more, PCA (principal component analysis) and AHP (analytic hierarchy process) are adopted to evaluate the level of low-carbon economic development in Shenzhen. The facts prove that Shenzhen's low-carbon economic development level has formed certain foundation with up tendency in various indicators. Finally, the authors propose suggestions and strategies for developing low-carbon economic development for city of Shenzhen.
This paper takes the PRD (Pearl River Delta) urban agglomeration as the research object and improves the gravity models to estimate and analyze synergetic development potential of exhibition economy in eight major PRD cities. Firstly, it makes a factual analysis of the overall development trends and characteristics of exhibition economy in China, and introduces the development status of exhibition economy in the PRD Economic Circle. Secondly, it constructs indicator systems for the development evaluation of exhibition economy and evaluates comprehensive development capacity of exhibition economy in the eight PRD cities. Thirdly, gravity models are improved to calculate the synergetic development potential of exhibition economy in the eight PRD cities. Research Results: The PRD Economic Circle consists of three parts, namely, Guang-Fo-Zhao Economic Circle, Shenzhen-Dongguan-Huizhou Economic Circle and Zhuhai-Zhongshan-Jiangmen Economic Circle. Wherein, Guang-Fo-Zhao Economic Circle is centered on Guangzhou while Shenzhen-Dongguan-Huizhou Economic Circle and Zhuhai-Zhongshan-Jiangmen Economic Circle are centered on Shenzhen. Research Proposals: The local government should establish administrative departments for the synergetic development of exhibition economy in the PRD urban agglomeration, rationalize the allocation of exhibition economic resources, optimize synergetic development structures of exhibition economy, explore characteristic images of cities and integrate them into the PRD Economic Circle; promote synergetic development of exhibition economy in the PRD urban agglomeration, thereby enhancing domestic and international competitiveness of the exhibition industry and driving robust growth of regional economy. Innovations of the paper are described below: it studies synergetic development of exhibition economy in the PRD urban agglomeration for the first time, explores the integration of exhibition economy in urban agglomerations of different levels,
Whether Hong Kong and Macao residents employed in the Greater Bay Area can participate in social insurance and enjoy the social insurance treatment is a problem worthy of attention. However, previous studies on this topic remain largely outdated, fragmented, and theoretical. This study, taking Hong Kong and Macao residents working in Shenzhen as the research object, explores the social insurance laws and regulations applicable to them, as well as the current situation of their participation in social insurance in Shenzhen. Law interpretation and in-depth interviews are adopted as research methods. We found that Hong Kong and Macao residents working in Shenzhen face three types of barriers in participating social insurance: discrimination in treatment, restrictions in usage, and restriction in transition. Four solutions to the barriers are suggested: to protect workers' right to participate in social insurance in the form of legislation; to launch the voucher scheme to guarantee the healthcare and maternity treatment; to establish the mutual recognition of social insurance benefits, and to establish information exchange platform. The findings have policy implications for the development of social insurance, and offer guidance for collaboration with cities in the Greater Bay Area to promote talents flow and economic development.
With competition of tourism destination becoming fiercer, improving distribution channel is an important way to improve competitiveness of tourism destination. The Paper, by using Delphi, AHP and Yaahp, constructs evaluation indicator system on distribution channel of tourism destination, and takes Shenzhen OCT tourist resort as case study to make comparative analysis on indicator importance and actual performance score of OCT tourist resort. The research finds that internal controllable factors of distribution channel play the most important role in its evaluation, of which economic performance and product factor are far from expectation of tourism enterprise managers, and the Paper will provide advice for improving distribution channel of tourism destination from three aspects, including economic performance of distribution channel, product factor and external uncontrollable factors.
