Objective: Determine the prevalence of overweight and cardiovascular risk in quilombola women in the community, to verify the relationship between the two conditions and to identify possible predictors of both overweight and cardiovascular risk. Methods: This is a quantitative, observational cross-sectional study with 76 women from the quilombola community Adelaide Maria Trindade Batista of Palmas, Paraná. Anthropometric assessments were performed to estimate the nutritional status (BMI) and cardiovascular risk of the group and clinics to ascertain the condition of hypertension. Also, socioeconomic and ABEP questionnaires were applied. Statistical analysis included descriptive and inferential analysis, with construction of the final multivariate linear regression model with significance of 95%. Results: There was a high prevalence of overweight (75.8%) and cardiovascular risk (43.3%) in the population.
