Delayed discharge secondary to independent stoma management can be significantly reduced with preoperative stoma management teaching as part of an enhanced recovery programme.

The lesions tend to be small and solitary, asymptomatic, and typically found in the dermis or subcutaneous tissue. They have rarely been reported as occurring in the hand. Complete excision is usually curative. However, malignant tumors have been reported, which may metastasize. Case Report: We report a case of a granular cell tumor of the hand. Conclusion: This case is of particular interest due to the atypical location, and clinical presentation, which despite its malignant potential, mimics that of more commonly encountered benign lesions such as ganglion cysts and inclusion cysts.
