This research examines the Content Cues (CC) and Non-Content Cues (NCC) of tourism Information Quality (IQ) in social media (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) and its influence on creating Destination Image (DES) components i.e., “cognitive image (COG), affective image (AF), conative image (CON)” in the scope of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Pakistan. We distributed 500 questionnaires at various tourist destinations, and 446 complete questionnaires were returned and use for further analysis. We use the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) to get the research outcomes. Our outcome suggests that CC and NCC of tourism IQ are significantly related to the COG and AF, which leads to the CON. Our finding also identified the relationship between CC and NCC with CON through the mediation role of COG and AF, which were positive and significant. This research extends the insight of tourism IQ in social media, precisely the contextual dimension of IQ, by providing empirical evidence. This research also helps the KP Destination Marketing Organizations (DMO’s) to develop their marketing strategies to encourage more visitors by utilizing Social Media (SM) platforms to their destinations.
The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of service quality (SQ), Price (P) and Restaurant Environment (RE) on customer loyalty (LOY), via the mediating role of customer satisfaction (SAT) in the context of the restaurant industry in the capital city of Pakistan (Islamabad). Five hundred questionnaires were distributed at various restaurants in a different location at Islamabad, and 385 were returned. Multiple Regression Analysis was used to test hypothesis relationships. The outcome of this research shows that SQ, Pand RE have a positive association with the SAT. In contrast, customer satisfaction also leads to customer loyalty. Moreover, customer satisfaction significantly mediates the association among SQ, P, RE, and customer loyalty. The restaurant operators need to consider that good quality of service, fairness in price, pleasant and attractive restaurant the environment can increase customer satisfaction, which often contributes to customer loyalty.
Tourism development and flow are directly influenced by the travel and transportation linkages. Transit routes are a vivacious segment of the world trade, places connectivity, tourism, and travellers comfortability, reducing price and time between destinations. The 1,878-kilometer route from Khunjrab Pass will connect the Brahma Bahtar Interchange on the M1 Motorway with the city of Gwadar on the Western Alignment. The new trade and business dimensions are arising from the CPEC transit route between Pakistan and China. Gwadar Port has the potential to undertake a critical position in Pakistan’s economic resurgence. This study is established on the qualitative method based on the case studies technique as secondary data analysis. CPEC would offer several direct and indirect benefits to the country, people and especially the local community by securing employment, growing wages, and establishing SMTEs. The CPEC’s economic growth and incentives will enable the provinces into the process of national change. Tourism increases awareness, understanding, poverty reduction, promote development, increase jobs, peace. Keywords: CPEC, Pakistan, China, Tourism, Gawadar, Connectivity, Transit route
The twenty-first century is witnessing a rapid growth population in urban areas; this growth needs intelligent urban planning and management. The field of urban informatics is one of the new and vital specialties to organize and analyse the urban system at all levels and areas. ICT works with interactive community participation to guide and manage the urban environment to serve, provide the residents with safety and security. The paper presents a new vision in terms of employing the field of urban informatics in mapping and monitoring the urban deterioration of the built environment in general and buildings in particular. The urban informatics system is still taking its first steps to manage and serve the city's facilities (transportation, communication, air pollution, etc.). The built environment and the deterioration through time and other factors are still far from this area. This paper aims to identify the urban information field, the situations, and types of urban deterioration and move to capture urban deterioration indicators (main and secondary), which can be measured in urban informatics. This paper recommends the adoption of such a mechanism in managing and controlling the deterioration that contributes to the reduction of material and human losses, saving time and money away from traditional methods, and the possibility of employing them in times of crisis and disasters in the urban environment.
