The article deals with the specifics of volunteering in tourism industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Of particular importance is the problem of developing volunteering movement in tourism sphere of Kazakhstan, which is in the process of formation and integration. Developing volunteering in tourism for Kazakhstan is an important factor in ensuring its growth, forming positive image, creating favourable conditions for the tourism business, increasing awareness about the country, and improving the well-being of its people. The relevance of the topic is that among various directions of tourism development, volunteering has a powerful, but underestimated resource for creating positive image of a country, solving social, economic and environmental problems, improving the quality of tourism services provided, helping the population in emergencies, different life situations, which may occur in the course of a travel. The purpose of this work is to analyse the theoretical aspects regarding the role of volunteering in tourism development, identifying its trends and problems, as well as developing scientifically based applied recommendations to increase the attractiveness of volunteering in tourism. The results obtained in the course of the study can be implemented in fostering volunteering development in tourism sphere.
This paper examines the economic development of the Ulytau district in Karaganda region of the Republic of Kazakhstan and explores the opportunities for tourism development in this region. Indicators of Karaganda region including Ulytau district are described by considering the official statistical indicators. As a real sector of the economy of Ulytau district, the growth of production volumes of small enterprises, the diagram of placement of visitors for the purposes of the trip, fluctuations in the volume of services provided by places of accommodation were studied. At the same time, the main indicators of the activities of libraries and museums are considered as the research’s objects, because it is important to introduce tourists with the region’s historical and cultural values.
The problems of the raw material base depletion, ineffective technological chain of ores mining and processing with a high loss factor require a systematic, sound approach to the future development of the Zhezkazgan region. The conducted monitoring of ore fields and tailings is represented by significant stocks of technogenic formations. As a methodology for research works at the mines of Kazakhmys enterprises a method of geotechnological work was chosen. Based on various physical and chemical impacts, the rocks are brought into a mobile state and receive useful components from hard-to-digest ores. In the extraction process, X-ray radiometric methods are used, which allow ore separation and mixing at the ore preparation stage, thereby reducing the yield of unpromising ores to the surface and increasing the multispectral nature of the extracted components. The created experimental furnace of chlorinating firing makes it possible to extract valuable components in the form of additional products such as rhenium, gold, iron from complex products of rough concentrate, which due to the lack of effective technology went to the tailings of enrichment. The applied geotechnology is environmentally balanced, since the waste that is not of economic value can be used as raw material in the construction industry. The uniqueness of the research work is in detailed spectral analysis of the physical and chemical properties of technogenic formation and poor ores of the Zhezkazgan region, using technological processes for extracting associated components from waste and decommissioned ores by the method of chlorinating roasting and obtaining an additional solution with a high content of the useful component.
Today, world practice shows that the formation of tourist clusters is one of the most effective ways not only to develop the territory for tourism purposes, but also to create unique conditions for the sustainable development of regional tourism in the long term. However, the process of cluster formation is quite complicated and necessitates the definition of clear mechanisms for integrating activities between tourism enterprises and state, educational, scientific and other public organizations involved in the cluster structure. Therefore, each country that implements the tourism clustering policy has developed its own experience in this area and creates a cluster based on the specifics of the relations formed between the local business community and the state. In this regard, the main purpose of writing this article is to review the foreign practice of clustering the tourism sector and identify the specific features of the various existing models of tourism clusters. From the scientific and practical point of view, the significance of the presented work is determined by identification of the distinctive properties of tourist clusters that contribute to a considerable increase in the attractiveness of the area for vacationers. As part of the study of the formation and development of tourist clusters in Europe, the USA and Asia, methods of comparative analysis, analogy and theoretical generalization were used. The value of study is that the results of study can be used as an information base in the course of determining the priorities for the development of tourism clusters in domestic practice.
