RESUMOA sífilis gestacional constitui um grave problema de saúde pública nos países em desenvolvimento, sendo a doença com as maiores taxas de transmissão vertical. Neste sentido, o objetivo do estudo foi analisar os casos de sífilis gestacional na cidade de Marabá e traçar o perfil epidemiológico das gestantes. Fora realizado um estudo retrospectivo e transversal, onde a amostra fora obtida de dados da sífilis gestacional notificados a rede pública de saúde do município, no período de 2013 a 2017. Variáveis abordadas: número de casos por ano e variáveis sociodemográficas. Para análise estatística foi utilizado o teste Z e o teste G, IC 95%, p < 0.05 significativo. No período explorado foram notificados 874 casos, com aumento de 133 em 2013 para 224 em 2017. Constatou-se taxa de detecção média em Marabá (34) superior as estaduais (9.6); e nacionais (11.48). Quanto ao perfil epidemiológico, houve predominância da raça/cor parda (95.2%), idade entre 20 e 29 anos (51.1%), escolaridade até o ensino fundamental (53.1%), período de diagnóstico no 3º trimestre (50%) e de sífilis primária (58.12%). O crescente número de casos de sífilis gestacional e a constatação dos grupos de maior prevalência são importantes indicadores para a necessidade do combate e prevenção desta patologia.
ABSTRACTGestational syphilis is a serious public health problem in developing countries, being the disease with the highest rates of vertical transmission. n this sense, the objective of the study was analyze gestational cases of syphilis in the city of Marabá and trace the epidemiological profile of pregnants. A retrospective and cross-sectional study was carried out, where the sample was obtained from data on gestational syphilis reported to the public health network in the municipality, from 2013 to 2017. Variables: number of cases per year and sociodemographic variables. For statistical analysis, the Z test and the G test, 95% CI, p <0.05 were used. In the period under investigation, 874 cases were reported, with an increase from 133 in 2013 to 224 in 2017. The mean detection rate in Marabá (34) was higher than the state (9.6); and national (11.48). In the epidemiological profile, there was predominance of race/color brown (95.2%), age between 20 and 29 years (51.1%), schooling up to elementary school (53.1%), diagnosis in the 3rd trimester (50%) of primary syphilis (58.12%). The increasing number of cases of gestational syphilis and the finding of the most prevalent groups are important indicators for the need to combat and prevent this pathology.
