Summary
A new sunscreen, octyl dimethyl para‐aminobenzoic acid in an ammonium acrylate/acrylate copolymer was tested under controlled conditions of salt‐water swimming at a beach. It provided statistically significant protection when compared with two other currently available commercial products containing para‐aminobenzoic acid (PABA) and PABA derivatives.
