This work brings an analysis of texts and illustrations, made by students of the 7th year, regarding the Biological Control of Pests using entomopathogenic fungi. The same was guided by the programmatic content of the series, regarding the Kingdom Fungi, contained in the Didactic Book. The study on entomopathogenic fungi was deepened during the execution of the activities of the Scientific Initiation Program (PIBIC / UFAL) and was applied in a school where the surrounding community survived predominantly from agriculture. In this sense, an expositive lecture was given on the subject, and later students were asked to produce the material. In the texts and illustrations produced, students demonstrated significant learning, reflection on their local reality and understanding of the relevance of fungi in human life.
