A library of bisheterocycle tandem derivatives incorporating a methyloxazole and thiazole subunit is designed and synthesized, inspired by the natural product leucamide A. Compounds (I) and (II) show moderate activity against influenza A virus. The bisheterocycle tandem pair probably plays a major role with regard to potent antiviral activity. The novel compounds could serve as leads for the development of de novo antiviral agents. -(WANG, W.-L.; YAO, D.-Y.; GU, M.; FAN, M.
