This paper proposes a high gain novel DC- DC converter. According to this topology gain of the converter can be improved more than a boost converter without using any transformer. In this topology it is possible to increases the gain of the converter without increasing the current ripple in the input current. This proposed topology is capable to reduce the voltage stress of the switches. Implementation of non-isolated topology eliminates the need of the transformer and reduces the magnetic size. The maximum duty restriction problem can be reduced by the higher gain of this proposed converter. The ripple reduction in the input current increases the life of energy storage system.
This paper presents the design and performance of an electronic ballast which provides a constant light output for wide input voltage fluctuations from 85V to 265V. Two IC's have been used in the design: the first part has a PFC controller IC and the second part IC is a ballast driver. The PFC circuit produces and maintains a constant power factor and a constant voltage of 400 V. The second part, the ballast driver IC feeds voltage to a resonant half bridge inverter operating in Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) resonant mode, thereby reducing switching losses and the electromagnetic interference. The output to this part is constant light for the specified voltage range. Experimental results of the electronic ballast driving 36W fluorescent lamps are presented in order to confirm the feasibility of the performed design methodology.
This paper proposes a seven level three phase inverter with PWM control scheme for better performance and magnitude control of output voltage. This proposed inverter offers a proper isolation between load and inverter circuit and different phases also. This inverter is capable of generating waveforms independently for different phases. By changing the reference signal frequency output frequency can be changed which is capable to make the system of variable frequency. Use of reverse voltage topology has increased the magnitude of output voltage. Proper application of diode makes the unidirectional switch bidirectional and decreases the number of switches.
