Addition of aliskiren to an ACE inhibitor (or angiotensin receptor blocker) and beta-blocker had favorable neurohumoral effects in heart failure and appeared to be well tolerated.

Aliskiren provides significant antihypertensive efficacy in patients with hypertension, with no rebound effects on blood pressure after treatment withdrawal.

Aliskiren-based therapy was well tolerated and produced sustained blood pressure reductions in patients with hypertension over 6 months, greater than those with ramipril-based therapy.
