Industry has undergone various revolutions up to now, and through cyber-physical systems would communicate, collaborate in real time of the process and product value stream. Technology upgrades will bring optimization in various resource utilization and focus on satisfying customers even over their ever increasingly demand. The gadgetry conveniences would bring the wearable's and embedded handle large databases for dynamic mining and interpretations obsoleting the necessity of strain in carrying laptops or pads. Innovation would be successful as it facilitates quick product developed self-customized for use at the shortest development time. Studentcentered learning, learning consequences will have lifelong erudition where educational institutions will develop robust integrated systems and infrastructure to facilitate learning by doing rather than by the conventional learning. New age of Industry 4.0 will bring in a considerable change in physical world as in the virtual facilitation enabled by digital connect shrinking the distances, removing differences, and conducting real time transfer knowledge and material transfer globally. Being technologically prepared is the need of the time then to wait for the opportunity to push the educational system to change, where the time loss would handicap the economy and younger generations to be forced to compete even with perceived incapable and smaller frugalities.
Industry 4.0 can be considered the 21st century's industrial revolution and will soon be the new form of manufacturing delight. The definitive customer would experience manufacturing requests determined by artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automated technologies linked with data science support for gauging customer necessities. Phenomenally, Industry 4.0 is rapidly changing the firm's management and organizational systems, and competencies, as well as making its environment much more explored, even if more complexed than in the past. This new industrial revolution would possess systems with transformative technologies for managing interconnected systems between its physical assets and computational capabilities. Such enterprises would require skilled workforce to improve and operate advanced manufacturing tools and systems, and investigate the machine data, clients, and global capitals, resulting in an escalating need for trained employees proficient in cross-functional capacities and with competencies to cope new processes and IT systems.
The world is shrinking now more than ever due to new scientific and technological breakthroughs that expand the boundaries of human knowledge, resulting in improvements in transportation, communication, space exploration and educational technologies. Today’s students will compete in a technological, diverse, multi-cultural world and must be prepared to thrive in this futuristic environment. Therefore, it is vital that today’s pedagogy produce lifelong learners, who can succeed in a global pulpit. To ensure our educational technology progresses at the rate demanded by today’s ubiquitous digital learners, we review emerging technologies and traditional teaching methods and propose desirable changes. Future companies will need employees with specific Internet of Things connected additive manufacturing skills across the value stream, including computer-aided design, machine operation, raw material development, robotics and supply chain management; but these are only island of excellence in industry 4.0 and not the consummate requirement of the manufacturing process.Keywords: Industry 4.0, IoT, smart teaching, future skills.
