This paper presents a design of rectangular microstrip patch antenna operating at 5.2 GHz for high-speed wireless local area networks (IEEE 802.11a standard) and wireless communication systems covering the 5-6 GHz frequency band. The design also focuses on bandwidth enhancement by introduction of E-slots in rectangular patch antenna. The simulation was performed by using CST Microwave Studio. This paper also compares the performance of an E-shaped patch antenna over a rectangular patch antenna.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
