This research paper presents the results of a photocatalysis-based treatment that uses ZnO-based semiconductors coated on galvanized iron plates attached to a rotating reactor and provides the result in the form of change in parameters like Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD). Other treatment units like sedimentation aided with coagulation and flocculation, sand filter, and activated carbon filter were used before and after the nano reactor respectively. It was found that for galvanized iron substrate there is a reduction of 85.76% when wastewater is retained for 2 hours in a reactor, and subsequently 92.80%, 93.53%, and 94.52% for a retention time of 4 hours, 6 hours, and 8 hours.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
