This research aimed to construct a statistical creative model in solving the problem of descriptive statistics. This type of research is a mixed methods research with a sequential mixed methods model using Exploratory sequential design. A descriptive qualitative method is used to build statistical creative models. Meanwhile, a quantitative method is used to test whether there are significant differences in students' statistical creative models based on gender. The research was conducted on 124 high school students with a distribution of 59 boys and 65 girls (15-18 years of age). The results of this research found that there are three levels of a statistical creative model in descriptive statistical activities, namely imitation, modification, and construction. A total of 25 subjects were at the imitation level, in solving problems the subjects imitated the appearance of data, graphics, or resolution strategies. 56 subjects at the modification level, modified the data or graphic display to solve the problem. 43 subjects at the construction level are shown by constructing new data or graphics to solve the problem. It was also found that there were no significant differences in the creative models of male and female subjects in descriptive statistical activities.

Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian jenis kualitatif ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus dan setiap siklus diadakan 2 kali pertemuan. Peneliti menggunakan teknik observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara, dan tes untuk memperoleh data. Teknik analisis data melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi serta triangulasi data. Subjek penelitiannya adalah kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah Tanjungpinang. Objek penelitian yaitu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang dilihat melalui hasil tes setiap akhir siklus I dan II serta hasil observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui penggunaan alat peraga Pilogma dalam pembelajaran materi Logika Matematika. This research is a Classroom Action Research. This qualitative research was conducted by using 2 cycles and each cycle contained 2 class meetings. Researchers used observation techniques, documentation, interviews, and tests to obtain data. Data analysis techniques through the data reduction phase, data presentation and conclusion drawing and verification and triangulation of data. The subject of this research is class X of SMA Muhammadiyah Tanjungpinang. The object of research is to improve students' critical thinking ability which can be seen through test result at the end of cycle I and II and observation, documentation and interview. The results showed that students' critical thinking ability can be improved through the use of props Pilogma in learning Mathematics Logic material.
Statistical reasoning is the way people reason with statistical ideas and make sense of statistical information. Statistical reasoning plays a major role and is essential when individuals are faced with daily phenomena such as educational achievement. Variability is a fundamental component of statistical reasoning. This study aimed to investigate the process of statistical reasoning observed from the students' narration based on the task of variability. The statistical reasoning process used in this study is in analyzing and interpreting the data. There are three indicators used in statistical reasoning, namely students’ narrative in comparing variability, making conclusions, and making decisions based on the ogive graph. There were 108 students involved in this study in Mathematics Education; 49 were selected as research subjects. The subject was chosen because they had carried out a statistical reasoning process using narrative with "make sense" without doing mathematical calculations in completing the task. Two of the 49 students were selected to be interviewed. This study used two instruments, namely a written task and a semi-structured interview guide. The data were analyzed using qualitative methods with an exploratory, descriptive design. This study indicates that two forms of narrative emerge when students undertake a process of statistical reasoning, namely a consistent narrative and inconsistent narrative. The consistent narrative occurs when students can provide the same endorsed narrative about variability in each statistical reasoning process. Meanwhile, the inconsistent narrative occurs when students provide an endorsed narrative, which is the opposite of comparing the variability in the two data groups with the endorsed narrative in making decisions. Narrative inconsistency results in the wrong decision making in choosing one of the two groups of data. A consistent Narrative plays an essential role in making the right decision. The ability to use statistical concepts is needed to produce a consistent narrative.
Pembelajaran geometri ruang merupakan salah satu pembelajran yang memerlukan kemampuan analitis dan komunikatif mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) untuk mengkaji penggunaan perangkat pembelajaran geometri ruang berbasis ICT dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi, 2) untuk mengetahui respon mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan perangkat pembelajaran geometri berbasis ICT. Pembelajaran geometri memerlukan kemampuan mengkomunikasikan bangun yang sifatnya abstrak menjadi konkrit sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dengan menggunakan ICT. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis ICT dengan program wingeom dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Learning geometry of space is one pembelajran that require analytical and communicative abilities of students. The purpose of this study were 1) to assess the use of the learning device geometry of space-based ICT in enhancing the ability to think critically, 2) to study the response of students to use ICT-based learning device geometry. Learning geometry requires the ability to communicate wake which is abstract into the concrete so as to increase high-level thinking skills by using ICT. Results from this study indicate the ICT-based learning with wingeom programs can increase high-level thinking skills.
