The purpose of this study was to determine the role of multiple intelligence on the career planning of students of SMK N 3 Klaten. This research uses qualitative research, with the type of field research (Field Research). The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. The research subjects were students and teachers of guidance and counseling at SMK N 3 Klaten. Data collection techniques in this study using interviews, observation and documentation. The data validity test used data triangulation which was carried out before entering the field, during the field, and after finishing in the field. The results of the study, among others, show that multiple intelligence has an important role in supporting the career planning process of students of SMKN 3 Klaten, the multiple intelligence learning model plays a role in career guidance services carried out by Guidance and Counseling teachers at SMKN 3 Klaten as well as career guidance and counseling services based on characteristics. Multiple intelligence is expected to be an alternative for students of SMK N 3 Klaten in determining the direction of career planning.
The Covid-19 pandemic has also opened up opportunities on how career guidance services build roles in the wider community. Whereas in the world of work, globally everything has stopped, projects have been postponed, and workplaces have been closed indefinitely. This journal is a literature review that discusses career guidance and counseling services that are very important in an effort to help victims of layoffs that have occurred as well as workers in general. This problem can be solved through the career guidance function as a treatment to help individuals overcome career-related problems. The essence of the function of career guidance as a stimulus is the ability to anticipate all future possibilities and achieve career maturity. In the future, workers mindsets need to be changed through career guidance services in the form of knowledge assistance on how to manage finances. Through providing career guidance services as a form of treatment and stimulus, individuals will have self-motivation to rise from adversity and get new jobs that match their interests and expertise, find another source of income and to build passive income.
The increasingly complex problem becomes a challenge for guidance and counselling teachers or counsellors as professional helpers. The ideal guidance and counselling teacher or counsellor figure is expected to answer the challenges of the current millennial era. The objectives to be achieved in this study are to obtain an overview of students' perceptions of the ideal guidance and counselling teacher and to find out the relationship between student perceptions and the level of welfare of Senior High School students. The research subjects of Senior High School students in Yogyakarta. The object of this research is, Perceptions of students, Figure of ideal guidance and counselling teachers, The level of well-being of students at Senior High School students in Yogyakarta. The method used for data collection using a questionnaire. The results showed a significant relationship between student perceptions of guidance and counselling teacher figures with the level of psychological well-being in schools. The counsellor's ability to understand himself and see a problem from the point of view of others will have an impact on students' perceptions of the counsellor. These results imply the importance of guidance and counselling teachers to continue to develop professionalism in schools so that students can be served well, and have an impact on the psychological well-being of students.
Abstrak: Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu guru Bimbingan dan Konseling mengembangkan kemampuan dalam mengatasi kecemasan karier akibat pandemi covid-19. Mitra dalam pengabdian ini adalah guru Bimbingan dan Konseling yang tergabung dalam musyawarah guru bimbingan dan konseling (MGBK) SMK Jawa Tengah sejumlah 158 Guru. Pelaksanaan kegiatan bersifat daring yang dilakukan selama 2 hari. Hari pertama kegiatan menghadirkan pemateri sedangkan hari kedua pengerjaan tes dan pembahasan oleh fasilitator. Hasil kegiatan adalah terdapat peningkatan berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest sebesar 14.9%. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan dan pemahaman dalam mengatasi kecemasan karier setelah mengikuti webinar.Abstract: This community service aims to help Guidance and Counseling teachers develop skills in overcoming career anxiety due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Partners in this service are Guidance and Counseling teachers who are members of the Guidance and Counseling Teacher Consultation (MGBK) of Central Java Vocational High School with a total of 158 teachers. The implementation of online activities carried out for 2 days. The first day of the activity brought presenters, while the second day of testing and discussion by the facilitator. The result of the activity is that there is an increase based on the results of the pretest and posttest of 14.9%. This indicates an increase in ability and understanding in overcoming career anxiety after attending the webinar.
The purpose of this study was to determine and examine how student career perceptions are handled by students related to the environmental impact, talents, and COVID-19 circumstances on career services at State Vocational School 3 Klaten. This study uses a qualitative approach. Respondents were students and teachers of Guidance and Counselling at state vocational high school 3 Klaten. The findings indicate that students' career conceptions are connected to the environmental influence, skills, and the COVID-19 settings surrounding career services and that these beliefs favourably affect students' self-development. The findings indicate that the results of interviews with students regarding factors influencing their perceptions of career counselling and career development, including talents, promising career planning with parental support and the impact of the environment, career exploration, career development, and support from learning facilities during the COVID-19.
