This article analyzes the existing analytical and numerical methods for calculating the structures of the pit enclosure by the method of trench wall in the ground. The discrepancy of the results of various calculations among themselves is shown and the main disadvantages of each calculation scheme are revealed. None of the existing analytical methods allows taking into account technological and design features in a complex manner, which leads to a significant error in the results. The authors considered an approach to solving this problem in a spatial setting using various finite element complexes, taking into account the nonlinearity of concrete and soil. The results of numerical experiments demonstrate a significant reduction in forces in the enclosure, which can serve as a justification for the need for a new methodology that will optimize design solutions.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
