This research is a hydrogeological survey activity with the aim to determine the quality and pattern of groundwater flow in the Degan and surrounding areas, Banjararum Village, Kalibawang, West Progo District. The research method is carried out by hydrogeological surveys to collect groundwater data and groundwater quality in the form of pH, TDS and EC. The research area is included in the Dome of the Kulon Progo physiography, where this area is a non CAT area. The geomorphology of the study area in the north and west is dominated by relatively coarse landscapes forming hills, while in the central, eastern and southern parts it is a weak wavy landscape to the plains. The results showed that shallow groundwater depth of 1.2 - 10.8 m (under surface). The pattern of groundwater flow is to the east / southeast, with boundary conditions H5 and V1. Groundwater aquifers are composed of colluvium deposits and weathered - medium weathered rock. The pH value of water in the study area ranges from 6.7 -7.1; TDS is 165 - 901 ppm, while EC ranges from 187 - 1240 µS / cm. Thus, groundwater in the Degan area is neutral and tasteless.
The geological condition of the study area is included in the karst of the Panggang hydrogeological subsystem. This karst area is characterized by the presence of surface water and groundwater, which is distinctive, where the water is interesting to be studied, especially on its hydrochemistry. By knowing hydrochemistry, this research wants to know about the relationship between surface water and groundwater. The method was a hydrogeological survey and accompanied by hydrochemical testing of dolines (surface) water and groundwater. The data have been analyzed by some hydrochemical diagrams such as Schoeller, Piper, Durov, and Collins diagrams. Springs emerge from reef limestone aquifers (Gunungsewu aquifers) in several places, supported by grains, fractures, and channels porosities. Both groundwater and surface water are colorless (46 -350 TCU) and clear (3 -19 NTU) with a pH of 6.8 -8.1 and TDS 76 -308 ppm. Groundwater shows the Ca -bicarbonate and Ca, Mg -bicarbonate types, whereas dolines (surface) water has Ca, Mg -bicarbonate types. Groundwater and surface water show relatively similar hydrochemical facies. Enrichment of hydrochemical groundwater is greater in springs than in dolines. The doline water may not correlate with each other, and it means that the groundwater flows to dolines maybe not be interconnected. Thus, water in the karst area may flow in all directions, depending on the porosity of the controlling channels. Water in the study area is young, indicated by the Ca 2+ and HCO3dominant ions, supported by ion exchange and simple dissolution processes.

Industri pertambangan merupakan suatu industri yang melibatkan berbagai disiplin ilmu. Salah satu sub bidang pertambangan yang paling penting adalah bidang geoteknik. Analisis geoteknik merupakan tahap awal sebagai dasar untuk menentukan stabilitas lereng penambangan. Dalam analisis ini memerlukan pengamatan dan olah data yang cermat karena berhubungan erat dengan keselamatan operasional penambangan. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan suatu alat bantu untuk mempermudah analisis data stabilitas lereng secara cepat dan akurat. Aplikasi yang digunakan dalam analisis stabilitas lereng ini adalah slide software. Aplikasi software ini dapat merancang desain geometri jenjang yang meliputi tinggi dan kemiringan jenjang tambang beserta tingkat faktor keamanannya. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh akan dijadikan dasar untuk membuat model desain tambang yang aman bagi lingkungan.Tulisan ini akan membahas bagaimana cara mengaplikasikan slide software dan hasil analisis geometri jenjang dan faktor keamanannya pada tambang batugamping di daerah Gunung Sudo, Kabupaten Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta.Kata Kunci : Slide Software, Stabilitas Lereng, Tambang Batugamping

Aplikasi beberapa software sangat diperlukan dalam berbagai analisis, termasuk jenis aplikasi untuk menentukan distribusi ukuran butiran pada batuan. Aplikasi yang digunakan adalah split desktop software. Aplikasi software ini sangat akurat dan cepat dalam menganalisis distribusi masing-masing ukuran butiran batuan yang dapat mempermudah dan menghasilkan dalam visualisasi bentuk dan ukuran butiran tersebut serta distribusinya. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh akan dijadikan dasar untuk mengetahui karakteristik butiran dalam suatu batuan. Tulisan ini akan membahas bagaimana cara mengaplikasikan split desktop software dan hasil analisis distribusi ukuran butiran pada batugamping berongga di cavity limestone layer daerah Sale, Kabupaten Rembang, Jawa Tengah.
