ARTICLE INFOThe aim of this research is to examine the values of the third and fourth grade mathematics textbooks and workbooks. In the research document analysis method which is one of the qualitative research methods was used. 6 textbooks belonging to the years 2017-2018 were analyzed and the third and fourth grade mathematics courses were included in the research. In the data collection stage the third and fourth grade Math textbooks were examined and 5 units were formed, activities, examples, problems studies and evaluations. Contest analysis method was used for data analysis. As a result of the research, it was found that the values were %5.8 in the third grade Math textbook and %1.9 in the 4th grade textbook. It was concluded that the most value in the third grade mathematics textbooks was the level of frustration (%29.5), the least; value of responsibility (%2.27), the value of respect (%2.27) and the value of giving importance to family unity (%2.27). In the fourth grade Mathematics textbook was examined and seen the textbook includes; patriotism value (%23.7), frustration value (%23.7) and self-control value (%23.7), on the other hand textbook doesn't include; responsibility value, helpfulness value, respect value, health care value and importance of family unity. Based on the findings of the research, it can be said that mathematics textbooks should be organized in a way that the values will be handled more comprehensively.
