O aprendizado de Programação de computadores é uma atividade complexa. Os alunos que iniciam cursos voltados à área de informática costumam mostrar dificuldade durante o processo de aprendizado de programação. Esta dificuldade tem maior impacto para estudantes que apresentam algum tipo de necessidade especial, como por exemplo os alunos surdos. Nestes casos, metodologias de ensino alternativas, como uso de recursos visuais, costumam obter melhores resultados. Neste contexto, é proposto o desenvolvimento de um software denominado Visual Programmer, que permite construir o código-fonte de uma aplicação simples atrave de uma linguagem simbólica que representa os comandos da linguagem C.

In this context, the Smart System ofElectrochemical Waste Disposal (SISDLE) proposes awarenessabout battery disposal. SISDLE is composed of a smarttrash, which monitors the amount of discarded batteries, informationsent to a database; a mobile app to inform wheresmart trash are located and provide the best route to them;and a web system that allows to monitor the fill rate for eachsmart trash and identify when collection is required.

Electricity consumption in public education institutions compromisesan important part of the annual budget availableto finance expenses. These costs are even higher during theperiod between October and February, where the averagetemperatures are higher. The temperature increase in thisperiod is mainly related to the use of air conditioners. In thiscontext, intelligent solutions and devices capable of remotelymonitoring and controlling air conditioners can reduce energyconsumption and costs. Alternatively, the ARCO system isproposed, it’s composed of an IoT device capable of monitoringthe air conditioners, turning on and off when they receivea remote control. In addition to the designed hardware, thesystem also includes an application interface (API) and aweb application.
