Ready-mixed concrete has gained more and more popularity in the construction projects in China. Long distance or high dislocation pump of concrete mixture is difficult to control the concrete quality , even more worse, the concrete may become drier or stocked during the pumping. How to improve the concretes pump ability is a major concern of the construction company. With the development of civil engineering, the building get much more higher and the bridge get much more longer, the pump ability of concrete matters the final product quality of the structure. This article proposed a comprehensive research on pump-ability of concrete mixture from the in field experiences by CCEED (China Construction Eighth Engineering Division).
Integrated construction technology is in developing quickly in Chinas civil engineering community. With its space saving and heat insulation properties, people both in cold and hot region both need the thin wall settled structure to avoid burning hot or extremely cold. This article proposed an innovative integrating construction technology that has gained more and more popularity in construction project by adoption of thin wall thermal insulation board. The detail of the anchorage of the structure surface and the board, bond together with a special nail, and the whole system was controlled by the fastening system. It is one type vertical integration strategy and will gain more competition advantages for the construction enterprises.
Knowledge discovery (KDD) method aims to solve the problem of massive data. For bridge engineering, the structural health monitoring (SHM) system is cumulative data from time to time, but the whole system should be understudied in real time. Data mining should be used in one of the KDD process. This article proposed a regular rule of analyzing the SHM data from a real sited bridge. The data aim to help engineers understanding the system degradation of the bridge.
Steel and concrete are the main buiding material of the civil engineering community, but with its easily errosion behaviour and CO2 discharge, it should be substituded with new materials.Fiber reiforcement polymer (FRP) is such a developped material, with its high strength to weight ratio, durability prolongation, hight stiffness to weight ratio and its fatigue resistance behaviour, it is now getting widely used in civil engineering. This article focused on how to design, built and operate a structure health monitoring system for the noval steel-free cable stayed bridge, and a knowledge discovery model, SG(Simplified-General)modle was provided for analyzing the collected data.

Former design was carried out according to the structural design, and the micro design is the material design on fiber volume ratio and the resin types. FRP is eminent in civil engineering because of its high strength to weight ratio, durability prolongation, high stiffness to weight ratio and its fatigue resistance behaviors. Right now, lots of applications were found in offshore engineering, hydraulic engineering and railway engineering. This article focused on both design and construction of the FRP reinforcement with concrete, and a case study was provided from the Nanjing city by CCEED (China Construction Eighth Engineering Division).
