This paper describes the problems solved by the first generation of turnover control devices using GPRS terminals for sending data from fiscal electronic cash registers and fiscal printers to the server of Tax Administration. The comparison with ordinary fiscal cash registers and non-fiscal cash registers is also provided. The implementation of the first generation of turnover control devices already provided significant effects to the budget of several countries.
