Five insecticides were evaluated for control of light-moderate populations of vege-table leafminer and its parasites on celery in Orange County, Florida, on an Everglades mucky peat soil during February-April 1977. Foliar sprays were applied weekly with a tractor-mounted sprayer comparable to commercially available equipment at 107 gallons of spray per acre with 150 psi. Dipel at 0.5 pound per acre and Dithane M-45 at 1.5 pounds per acre were included in each treatment of each plot for control of lepidopterous pests and foliar diseases. Kocide 101 at 2 pounds per acre was applied every third week. Plots were 6 ft wide and 25 ft long and replicated 6 times in a randomized complete block design.
