Abstrak Proses penuaan mengakibatkan terjadinya perubahan secara fisik, sosial, psikologis yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas hidup lansia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan aktivitas sosial lansia terhadap kualitas hidup di pesisir RW 03 Kelurahan Kedung Cowek Surabaya. Penelitian ini merupakan studi analitik dengan desain Cross Sectional. Jumlah sampel adalah 32 responden yang diambil dengan simple random sampling. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman. Ada hubungan aktivitas sosial terhadap kualitas hidup sebesar 0,000 (ρ<0,05). Implikasi dari penelitian ini, diperlukan dukungan dari keluarga serta instansi terkait dalam pengembangan kegiatan lansia untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidupnya. Hypertension is an increase in blood pressure where the systolic pressure is more than 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure is more than 90 mmHg. The cause of the onset of hypertension can be of age factor. Elderly who suffer from hypertension usually cause interruption of daily activities, so routine treatment is needed in order not to cause complications. Young coconut water contains potassium, magnesium and vitamin C which has benefits to help the body regulate blood pressure, so it can reduce hypertension. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of young coconut water on the decrease of high blood pressure in the elderly. Experimental Quasy research design with Non-Equivalent Control Group Desaign approach. The population of this study is elderly who are not dependence of hypertension drugs as much as 32 people with the number of samples of 30 respondents selected by Probability Sampling with Simple Random Sampling approach. The independent variable is young coconut water therapy, the dependent variable is the decrease of high blood pressure. Data were collected using questionnaires and observations. Data were analyzed by using Paired t-test and Independent t-test. The results showed that the consumption of young coconut water as much as 250 ml morning and afternoon for 2 weeks in the treatment group can lower systolic blood pressure. The independent t test in the treatment group and the control group obtained the result p = 0.013 (p <a = 0.05). The implication of this study is that young coconut water can lower blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension, so that young coconut water treatment can be used as one of the non-pharmacological alternative to reduce blood pressure.

Introduction: People with schizophrenia need the role of the family as a caregiver. Objectives: The aim of this study was to describe the burden of the family as a caregiver for schizophrenia patients in an outpatient polyclinic setting, Menur Mental Health Hospital Surabaya. Methods: Total participants were 160 family caregivers who carry out routine check-ups for families with schizophrenia. The data was obtained using the Indonesian version of the Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI) questionnaire and Cronbach alpha (α) was 0.931. Descriptive statistics were used to describe and categorize the family caregiver burden. Results: The results showed that the majority of participants had burden score in the category no burden – low burdens: 64 participants (40.0%), the mild-moderate burden category was 84 participants (52.5%), the moderate-severe burden was 11 participants (6.9%), very severe burden category was only 1 participant (0.6%). In addition, the demographic data showed that most of the participants were adult (55%), and the majority of caregivers are female (54.4%), the majority of education was senior high school (51.9%), for and most of the participants were unemployed (45.6%). Conclusion: This study was needed to provide evidence for evolving intervention among family caregivers.

ABSTRAKKeluarga terdapat berbagai permasalahan yang harus diselesaikan oleh anggota keluarga, agar tidak menimbulkan konflik dalam hubungan keluarga yang dapat meningkatkan mekanisme koping keluarga tersebut. Keluarga yang memiliki mekanisme koping negatif (mal adaptif) akan memunculkan sikap seperti marah–marah dan merasa terbebani. Dalam pemberian asuhan keperawatan, dukungan keluarga ikut berperan untuk mencegah terjadinya kekambuhan.Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Sample penelitian ini adalah pasien yang dirawat di ruang wijaya kusuma Rumah Sakit Jiwa Menur Surabaya sejumlah 25 Orang dengan teknik simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian ini terdapat hubungan mekanisme koping dan dukungan keluarga terhadap tingkat kekambuhan pasien Skizofrenia. beberapa penyebab kemampuan personal kurang baik sehingga menyebabkan strategi koping maladaptif dikarenakan ketidakmampuan pasien untuk selalu fokus dalam menerima informasi. dan dukungan keluarga yang diperoleh menggambarkan tingkat kekambuhan pada pasien skizofrenia tidak bisa maksimal dan akan mempengaruhi tingkat kekambuhan pasien dikarenakan yakni pendidikan, usia, pendapatan, dan tempat tinggal keluarga. Jauhnya tempat tinggal pasien dengan rumah sakit membuat keluarga jarang untuk datang berkunjung. Kata Kunci : Mekanisme Koping, Dukungan Keluarga, Skizofrenia ABSTRACTFamilies have various problems that must be resolved by family members, so as not to cause conflicts in family relationships that can improve the family's coping mechanism. In providing nursing care, family support also plays a role in preventing recurrence.This research method uses a cross sectional approach. The sample of this study was 25 patients treated in the wijaya kusuma room in Surabaya Menur Mental Hospital with a simple random sampling technique.The results of this study have a correlation between coping mechanisms and family support for the recurrence rate of Schizophrenic patients. some of the causes of personal abilities are not good, causing maladaptive coping strategies due to the inability of patients to always focus on receiving information. and family support obtained illustrates the recurrence rate in schizophrenic patients cannot be maximal and will affect the patient's recurrence rate due to education, age, income, and family residence. Background: Hypertension is the highest cause of death in Indonesia. Non-pharmacological therapy that could reduce blood pressure was decoction of avocado leaves. This study aims to determine effectiveness decoction of avocado leaves to blood pressure of hypertensive patients in Siwalankerto Health Center Surabaya. Methods: This research used Quasy experimental one groups pre test-posttest with control design with a quantitative approach. Sampling techniques used was probability sampling with simple random sampling which obtained sample of 30 respondents aged 26-45 years old.15 respondents in the avocado leaves decoction intervention groups and 15 respondents in the control groups. Data analysis was carried out with the help of computer programs by using Paired T-Test. Result: result of the Paired T-Test of systolic and dyastolic blood pressure obtained p = 0,000 with a significance level (p<0,05), meaning that there was an influence between before and after giving treatment of avocado leaves decoction to blood pressure of hypertensive patients in Siwalankerto Health Center Surabaya. Conclusion: The research implication showed that complementary therapies provided by nurses could be a motivation to achieve the goals of hypertension self care.
